Short Bio

Dan is a husband, father, professor and entrepreneur who enjoys combining the worlds of education, business, and ministry by applying computer technology to solve problems. He is both a bit builder and a bit builder educator. Dan started young as an entrepreneur – doing everything from selling lemonade on the street corner to mowing lawns and blowing snow.

Today, Dan is head of the Computer Science Department at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. In addition, he serves as a deacon in his church, Hampton Park Baptist Church, on the board of several Christian ministries, and fulfills the roles of CFO and CTO for The Worthwhile Company, CompuSoft Solutions, J&W Properties and ParisView Holdings.

In his free-time, Dan loves to snow ski in the Rockies, travel around the globe helping missionaries with technology, drive sports cars and motorcycles on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and take folks to visit the Creation Museum in northern KY where they are challenged to consider the impact of biblical authority on many important life issues. His favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 4:23, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
